Overview
The Honorary Consul of Liechtenstein in Hamburg serves northern Germany, including the city-states of Hamburg and Bremen and the surrounding states. The post is held by Gianna Le Claire. Liechtenstein does not maintain a full consulate in northern Germany; the Embassy of Liechtenstein in Berlin is the competent mission for all substantive consular and diplomatic matters. Hamburg's role as Germany's largest port city makes it a contact point for Liechtenstein's trading and financial interests in the region.
Consular Services
Limited to the scope of an honorary consulate: assisting Liechtenstein nationals in emergency situations and providing initial guidance on consular matters. Passport applications, visa processing, and official certification must be directed to the Embassy of Liechtenstein in Berlin.
Service Area
Northern Germany, including Hamburg, Bremen, and the surrounding federal states. All substantive consular matters are handled by the Embassy of Liechtenstein in Berlin.
Appointment Information
Contact the Honorary Consul by phone to arrange an appointment before visiting. Walk-in visits are not accepted.
Special Notes
Hamburg is a major financial and logistics hub with strong connections to Liechtenstein's banking and holding-company sector. The Honorary Consul can provide local contacts and initial guidance for business matters relating to the region.
