The Italian Consulate General in Guangzhou (known as Canton in Italian) covers southern China — Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian, Hainan, Hunan and Jiangxi. The Canton Fair is a biannual fixture for Italian exhibitors promoting machinery, fashion, food products and design. Guangdong's manufacturing base produces goods for Italian brands and its consumer market is growing rapidly for Made in Italy products.
